TOEM 2 invites players to return to a realm of gentle photo adventures, but this time the world goes full 3D. Revealed during Day of the Devs at Summer Game Fest, this sequel keeps the slow-paced charm of the original alive in a bigger, deeper package. It’s set to launch in 2026 on PC, Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
You’re back as the friendly photographer, walking through magical villages, shaded forests, and cozy towns. Now you can climb hills, jump onto rooftops, and spot hidden puzzles from new angles. The game adds classic tools to your kit, use a hammer to knock loose that weird sculpture or shears to open a secret path.

Requests still drive the adventure. Follow villagers asking for pictures of rare turtles, mysterious ruins, or mischievous animals. One demo quest even has you grabbing a bowman’s lost arrow after talking with townsfolk. You fill your notebook with stamps and story notes. Along the way, you’ll collect new hats, outfits, and camera upgrades—some required to unlock certain tasks.
The visuals are simple but enchanting: black, white, and storybook tones. That quirktastic art got better with lighting that moves as you explore and animation that feels like paper cutouts walking across a diorama. Music flows calmly, and the UI reminds you this is a scrapbook journey, not a sprint.
Hands-on previews praise the pacing and comfort of the world. One preview stated the game has “so much cozy charm it’s easy to wander off request paths”, a vibe that many players say feels like a hug after a long day.
TOEM 2 isn’t chasing flashy battles or timed challenges. It’s a calm photo hunt with feel-good moments baked into every snap. It launches in 2026, and if you loved the first one, this follow-up is where curiosity and calm meet bigger horizons.
