No, I’m Not A Human Preview

We’ve all been taught not to open the door to strangers as kids!
And as you grow old that’s something you always remember… a stranger still implies danger somehow.

If I’m not expecting someone at my door I always have a confused look on my face when I hear a knock on my door.
And chances are….I’m not answering.

Knock Knock...

No, I’m not a human, is adding a new layer of fear to that knock on the door.

The world is burning outside and is being overrun by visitors disguised as humans intent on being invited into your home (and it’s not for a cup of tea). Will you continue down the path of paranoia and self preservation by opening the door to no-one, or will you have a heart and save others?

No, I’m not a human is a narrative-driven psychological horror simulation that challenges you to use social deduction, and manage limited resources to survive.

The atmosphere is anxiety-inducing

The knocking begins after sundown. It’s not safe to travel anywhere during the day. The sun is burning people and there is no other option than to travel at night.

Each night, visitors arrive with sob stories and excuses, seeking shelter. Some may even try to bribe you with something valuable to gain entry. After brief interactions through the locked door, you decide whether to welcome them inside or send them away.

As the days progress you keep an eye on the news broadcasts and become more informed on how to spot a visitor. Using those clues you are able to test your house guests to determine that you are safe or that you need to ‘take out the imposters’.

You get to see the news giving you new hints every day on how to make sure you're able to recognize humans.

Visitors may display physical traits such as perfect white teeth, bloodshot red eyes, hairless armpits, or dirty fingernails. But visual cues aren’t always the answer.

You’ll need to investigate further by questioning guests and observing their behavior and willingness to cooperate. Each test consumes limited daily energy, so choose your actions wisely.

Cheeeeeeeese!

The demo includes 6 alternate endings to the game, which are dependent on how trusting you are or how unsure you are with your own decisions.

    1. Intruder Ending: You are taken away by the Intruder, leaving the house abandoned.
    2. Massacre Ending: You kill all guests, leading to a tragic conclusion.
    3. Bad Ending: Your actions result in a negative outcome.
    4. Good Ending: You find a sense of peace by keeping only humans under their roof.
    5. Best Ending: You achieve the most favorable outcome by making the right choices.
    6. Speedrun Ending: You end the game quickly, possibly bypassing certain events.
You'll soon find yourself questioning earlier choices and getting paranoid, very fast!

Originally the game was released in 2024 as a short title within the Violent Horror Stories collection on Steam, but No, I’m Not a Human quickly stood out among the four included games.

Despite some negative reviews for the collection as a whole, No, I’m Not a Human consistently received attention and praise, even many critical comments still expressed support and encouragement specifically for this game.

With its strong foundation, I’m genuinely intrigued to see how the full release will expand on its haunting atmosphere and complex gameplay. No, I’m Not a Human tests your ability to separate allies from imposters. It’s a gripping and anxiety-filled journey through suspicion and survival, and I’ve been loving it!
